Social Development reiterates determination to increasing SASSA financial support

Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her help and motivation to improving South African Social Security Company (SASSA) expert services during an engagement using the agency's senior professionals at a strategic planning session in Cape Town.

Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the many social grant beneficiaries, who excelled during the 2024 matric final exams.

With the 724 156 full-time learners who registered for that National Senior Certificate (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing eighty one% with the registered pupils during the education sector.

These learners obtained a commendable pass rate of 86%.
